One of the world’s top smartphone games ‘Plague Inc.’ has been banned in China, as the country grapples with the outbreak of the coronavirus.
The game, which is about eight years old, challenges players to spread deadly viruses around the world as it simulates what it is like to have a pandemic.
Sky News technology exert Djuro Sen said it’s “understandable” that China would be sensitive about the game considering its own problems with infectious diseases.
Mr Sen said the game itself is very “popular” but the game manufacturer claimed the reason it had been banned was “due to some illegal aspects of the game”.
